the Mind and Body

The mind’s peace is what we tend to ignore thinking if the body’s fine, the mind will too.

Sometimes, it’s the opposite. If the mind isn’t calm, it may take a toll on your activities. In fact, most don’t even know that they’re suffering from depression or anxiety.

So, here’s a talk about how meditation heals the mind and the body. But first, let’s discuss how meditation is done.

How to meditate: It’s not what you think ;It’s a treatment that first heals the inside and eventually manifests on the surface: the face and body language. Isn’t it wholesome?

One would think it’s just sitting in a position with folded legs, hands on knees, and eyes closed. And thinking about something. One thing only. Focusing on one object, maybe the tip of something? Well, no.

So, here’s the truth. That in fact, defeats the purpose of meditation.

The real art of meditation lies when you can shove the thoughts that surround you, away. Dodging the regular thoughts that take a toll on your psyche and triggers paranoia, is the real practice of meditation.

To think of nothing while sitting quietly with eyes closed early in the morning is the real deal.

And it is tough, especially when you are going through tough times. To make the mess your message needs mental strength. And that’s what the world population suffers from.

Now, there are different types of meditation that one can lean on to. However, the sole idea of nothingness remains the same.

Types of meditation and how they train the mind ;Meditation arrives in plenty of forms. Here are some kinds.

· Concentration meditation (the foundation from which other forms branch out)

It teaches the mind to focus on regular life. In fact, this is the base of all the other forms of meditation.

· Mindfulness meditation

Makes you focus amid the negative energy/ thoughts that cross the mind to attain calm. In fact, it encourages you to focus on it too. The idea is to not give in to the negative thoughts.

· Tai chi and qigong

They involve movement. They are a combination that includes physical exercise coupling with breathing and focus.

Breathing is another important act. And we often ignore to do it right. Yes, that’s right. This isn’t the regular tiny breaths we take. It should be a practice to take in the most from the nose and release. Both in and out done gradually.

Remember, breathing’s the only thread that binds our soul and body.

Next time make sure to tame your breath right.

· Walking meditation

This turns the human focus to both the body and mind. This happens as you breathe in synchrony with your footsteps.

· Transcendental meditation

A well-known Indian technique wherein you chant a phrase, sound, or mantra to quiet your inside thoughts and attain complete awareness of your greater self and the universe.

These are the kinds of meditation with the sole idea constant in each. Now, what does meditation do to your mind?

How meditation helps the mind and therefore the body

As said earlier, it’s the process of healing from the inside and manifesting the result outside. You’ve heard of the phrase, “When you feel good, you look good.”

That’s the idea. Meditation makes you unfurl from the inside. While the outside glow is just the product of the inside healing nothing extra.

Isn’t it worth the investment of time? So, take out time in your busy schedule to love your inner self. That’s because it does all these:

1. More brainpower to concentrate

Not only is a short-concentration span limited to children bit extends up to adults too. It’s difficult to deal with this as an adult because the more the responsibility, the higher the chance of being mentally vulnerable.

Meditation helps with your cognitive skills as well. Yes, the more intelligent, the more complex the mind’s performance and hence the resultant concentration span besides anxiety. But this doesn’t lead you anywhere. It’s important to control your mind and your life. Your actions determine your fate. So, cut out the dilemma and start your meditation.

2. Breaks addiction

Only if you want to break free from your addiction, that is.

Many studies show that meditation can help people recover from their addictions. It has a certain powerful hold on the self-control effects of the brain. It helps to decouple the human cravings for the item or act when practiced over a long period of time.

Catering to the self-control regions of the brain, the mind gradually becomes successful to bid adieu to the addiction the person desires to leave but habits forbade.

3. Cuts down anxiety

The modern times hold unaddressed problems dear. Too much of suppressing and holding back is devastating to the mind.

Whilst so, the body and the mind develop anxiety which can further trigger depression. When this remains active, the human being loses their original confidence, prompt Adrenalin acts, and normal intelligent thinking.

The being focuses on other things more than the ones they must focus on. A sense of being judged is common, not to mention.Meditation is therefore the aid to almost every critical suffering the mind takes. It relaxes the body and triggers the oxytocin to deploy throughout the body. A sense of calm generates and diffuses all around.

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) meditation is a form that reduces the stress levels both mentally and therefore physically. We have talked about it in the Types section.

4. Body and face feel younger while the mind matures

You don’t need a reason to meditate.

Forget about the results and concentrate on how you feel while you meditate.

Yes, you feel free and liberated. So, continue doing so whilst enjoying the practice only. And you will do it consistently.

The gradual result? Your insides feel ready, healthier, appealing to the blood circulation, and therefore manifesting on your face and body.

Another thing meditation does is to build confidence: body posture and language. Thus, it makes the changes visible on the outside with time. And when such a reaction develops, imagine its intensity.

It’s the mind that becomes more aware: of the surroundings, the world and its ways, and the higher self. Consequently, the mind calms as it gains a sort of “experience”. That is the whole idea that the practice of asana or meditation centers around. The transcendental experience of the being to know the existence of other possibilities.

In addition, meditation heals the mind and body simultaneously. Only it’s visible to the second person later.
